Delete your DrinkScan account and data
Use this page to delete your DrinkScan account and request deletion of associated app data.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the DrinkScan app.
- Go to Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm deletion when prompted.
Request deletion by email
You can also request account and data deletion by emailing drinkscan.support@gmail.com.
Please email us from the address connected to your DrinkScan account, or include enough information for us to verify account ownership.
What data is deleted
- Your DrinkScan account record and authentication profile.
- Your saved scan history associated with the account.
- Account-linked AI usage and scan quota records.
- Account-linked preferences stored in DrinkScan systems.
- Community contributed photos attributed to your user ID.
Guest mode local data
If you use DrinkScan in guest mode, your guest scan history is stored locally on your device and is not linked to an online DrinkScan account. You can remove guest data by deleting the app or clearing the app data on your device.
Community contributed photos
If you opted in to contribute high-confidence bottle photos to the DrinkScan community photo pool, photos attributed to your user ID are automatically removed when you delete your account. You can also request removal by emailing drinkscan.support@gmail.com from the email address tied to your account.
Retention
We process deletion requests within 30 days. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance reasons. Aggregated or anonymized records that no longer identify you may also be retained.
